Insta-Pro International® was born more than four decades back in the heart of America. Soybean crops were abundant, but local farmers did not have the opportunity to transform those on their farms into quality animal feed; this shortfall was filled with the invention of the dry high shear extruder. This new technology was patented; these were the industry's first dry high shear extruders. Today, the extruder is used for cooking, sterilizing, stabilizing, texturing and blowing oilseeds, grains and by-products.

Following the success of the dry high shear extruder, complementary products were developed to improve extrusion processes. Mechanical oil presses have also become essential parts of our product family. The extruder and oil press have been combined to form the ExPress® system which enables the chemical-free processing of various oilseeds into high quality cakes and oils, used in many industries today. We then added the medium shear extruder for the processing of products intended for pet food, as well as fish. Over forty years later, Insta-Pro International® systems operate in six continents - North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
